About Mrs. Pingeton
About Mrs. McCarthy
Hi my name is Caroline McCarthy and I am thrilled to be your child's First Grade teacher. In 2015 I received my Masters in Early Childhood Education from Fitchburg State University and my MA Initial Teaching License. Previous to education I worked for a non-profit for many years. Making the decision to switch careers seemed daunting at first but, after entering the Loker community in 2012, my love for education was affirmed. My philosophy in education is students need to be at that heart and center of teaching. I strive to truly know each student and learn what makes them excited, or discouraged to learn. I enjoy learning about their interests outside of school, and about their family dynamic. Family participation in education is so important ! I aim to excite, challenge, and affirm students in their abilities at every level. Our classroom motto is "I can. I will. I'll try!"
About Mrs. Mee
My name is Melissa Mee and this year I have the pleasure of being a teaching assistant in Room 3. I have worked at Loker School for the past 3 school years in multiple grades. I just love to see the bright faces of your children every day! I live here in Wayland with my husband Ryan, my children Elliot and Mia, and Sushi, our cat. In my free time, I like to read historical fiction books, practice yoga and eat Greek food. With my family, I like to hike, bike and play cards games. Our favorite card games are silly games called Frog Juice and Gubs. In the winter, we snowboard in New Hampshire and in the summer, we vacation in Wellfleet. I can't wait to get to know more about your kids!

This is my fourth year at Loker as a special education assistant and I absolutely love what I do! It has been such a pleasure working here at Loker school. I can't wait to watch them grow, learn, and have a fabulous year in Room 3.
